Spring training not just for baseball it applies to real estate too! 

Baseball spring training and spring time home buying or selling have a lot in common.

It’s imperative to get your team or home and finances in shape for the new season.

In this blog I will focus on the buyers!

Tips for Competing in the Spring Home Buying Market

If you're like most people, and try to buy a home in April, you'll have to be ready to jump on the home you want. Don't be indecisive. Don't hesitate! When you find it, make an offer Here are other tips to help you to win that offer:

As I mentioned in my last blog; 

  •       Getting pre-approved by a local lender is key
  •       Focus on a home that meets your requirements, price, location etc.

Don’t stray off path, remember it is time management!

  •       Hire a real estate agent who specializes in the area.
  •       Be prepared to pay list price 
  •       Give the seller something other buyers will not;

Such as extra time to move out 

I just closed on a home where I negotiated for the seller to have 3 weeks to move out and the new homebuyer in-turn received the home they wanted at the price they wanted and some furniture for free that they weren’t expecting.

 A win-win situation!

This spring with interest rates near their lows for the year; you can bet the competition will be heating up. Just like our competition for bragging rights in the upcoming baseball season.
