As summer approaches and some of us are looking to shed some of those pounds we gained from excessively eating during this long, brutal winter I thought it would be helpful to share some of my healthier go-to restaurants on the North Shore. Let’s face it: with such a busy schedule and always being on the move, it’s tough to make time to cook and grabbing a slice of pizza seems like the easiest thing to do.
However, here are some places I recommend and frequently go to on the North Shore to stay on the healthier side and get that summer “bod” ready to go.
With four locations well spread out on Staten Island there is always an Eat Better in proximity. The menu ranges from health plates, salads, wraps, smoothies, and even healthy treats like brownies and chocolate chip cookies.
Smoothies, Fresh Juices, and Acai Bowls conveniently located on Forest Avenue for a quick, delicious stop! Give the Billy BK a shot. This is just one of six locations currently open in New York, New Jersey, and Brooklyn not to mention several in development.
From salads, wraps, smoothies, juices, this spot on the corner of Victory Blvd and Jewett Avenue has so much to offer! They have a full salad bar so you can customize your lunch/dinner and they'll chop it up right in front of you.
